01

Context

Château Blanc is a boutique hospitality concept built around refined, personalized stays. The platform needs to let a small hotel present its unique character while giving guests a seamless way to discover, book and get help during their stay.

02

The problem

Most booking sites treat luxury stays like a commodity: dense filters, generic templates, and a checkout that feels transactional. For a boutique brand, that flat experience undersells the property and leaves guests with decision fatigue before they’ve even arrived.

03

Screens

Landing, booking flow, room detail, AI concierge

The insight

Personalization reduces decision fatigue and builds trust, and AI works best when it adds clarity and confidence, not when it tries to replace the human warmth of hospitality.

So the concierge guides and reassures rather than automates, and the booking flow is paced like a curated experience: calm, visual, and confident.

04

The work: key decisions

#1 Lead with visual storytelling, not filters

Why: a full-bleed hero and editorial typography sell the feeling of the place first; the search bar is present but calm, so discovery feels like anticipation rather than admin.

#2 An AI concierge for text and voice

Why: guests get personal recommendations and in-stay help conversationally, in the moment — the concierge supports confidence at every step instead of replacing the human touch.

#3 A booking flow paced like an experience

Why: clear steps, generous imagery and confident defaults reduce decision fatigue, so choosing dates, rooms and extras feels effortless and reassuring.

#4 One responsive design system, every screen

Why: a premium experience has to hold up from desktop to phone, so I built a scalable system of type, color and components that keeps the brand consistent across every breakpoint.

#5 Craft in the details

Why: the system only matters if the final screens feel effortless: consistent type, color and spacing let the photography and the property do the talking

05

The outcome

A complete booking journey (landing, discovery, room detail, checkout and in-stay concierge) designed responsive across every breakpoint, backed by one scalable design system. The result reframes booking as a calm, curated experience, and shows how I balance brand, usability and AI in a single premium product.

06

Reflection

The hardest balance here was luxury and usability, keeping the experience calm without hiding the controls people need. The AI concierge only worked once I stopped treating it as automation and started treating it as reassurance. Next step, if this shipped: user-test the personalization and concierge flows, and refine the conversation design against real guest questions
